Sen. Abaribe is currently serving his fifth term (2007-2027) as a Senator representing Abia South Senatorial District in the 10th National Assembly.
Prior to his re-election to the 10th National Assembly, he served as the Minority leader in the 9th National Assembly and also the Vice Chairman of the Power Committee.
