Sen. Tony Nwoye

He was born on September 13, 1974, in Anambra State. Nwoye is a former member of the House of Representatives representing the Anambra East/West constituency. He was also a former gubernatorial candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressive Party (APC) in 2013 and 2017, respectively. He won the senatorial seat for Anambra North under Labour Party in the recently concluded 2023 General Election. Before his legislative experience, Senator Nwoye was a former National President of the National Association of the Nigerian Students (NANS) in 2003 and also a former Speaker of the Students' Representative Council (SRC) at the University of Nigeria (UNN). He also served as the Chairman and Assistant Secretary of the Executive of Anambra State People's Democratic Party (PDP) in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
